O Brother was a CGI movie too. All of the landscape was photoshopped/instagrammed.
The John Adams series was CGIed as well, but only for sets, not the action itself, same as O’Brother. In neither case, did CGI detract from the story, but CGI WASN’T the story as is the case with all the comic book movies and modern scifi movies, which I don’t go to see anymore because they all are pretty much the same and pretty much are like watching someone else play a video game.
