I understand the liberty's they are taking, but showing Goliad with mountains around it takes the cake, along with Nagadoches in mountains as well, is really stretching it!

Most people have no idea of what Texas is like. “Lonesome Dove” was generally faithful to the actual geography. But I still laugh when I recall a movie with Lawrence Harvey called “Walk on the Wild Side” that depicts him getting off a truck on which he had hitched a ride right by a sign that says ”Beaumont, Texas.”and he is right in the middle of a desert!
