That may well be effective against one of the consequences of AD, the plaques, but as the article points out, the tests were in vitro (test tube or petri dish). Getting the drug across the blood-brain barrier, without allowing adverse stuff in, is a steep challenge.

Most people, without realizing it, are eating adverse foods that already compromise the BBB. Perlmutter discusses several. Wheat is one of them.
