Do you think abortion should be an available option? And if so, what does opposed “in principle” mean?

I am opposed to abortion. That said, I don’t get that worked up about it.
If you disagree with Trump’s view (which has I believe evolved over time away from abortion) that’s fine - though I don’t think it is what you’re representing.
However there are very imporant issues in America today. One of the single most important is, that we have sent so many formerly American jobs to China and elsewhere.
That is a subject I get very enthused about, and nobody else in the party appears to give one flying ... fig as to how to bring them back.
Or even (whether) to bring them back.
Until that subject is resolved, I don’t have time for the issue of abortion.
You can stand firmly on principle. I agree with your position by the way. Stand up strongly against abortion. You will get “way to go” from me by the way.

I applaud and agree with your position. Now go tell it to the Supreme Court. They are the people who have institutionalized abortion via Roe v Wade in this country. Roe v Wade was originated and passed by Congress not the President of the US. The President has little or no say so in the issue of whether abortion will or will not continue in the United States.
Donald Trump is about jobs. If he announces and runs on jobs as I suspect he will he will be a force to be reckoned with. Right now most Americans are sick of being out of work. They are sick of millions of illegal aliens pouring into their country. They are sick of these trade deals that put our country at a disadvantage.
