I played baseball, football, did track, and boxed, but love soccer. It's a sport, like any other, and has great athletes. The players routinely run 6.5-7.5 miles per game - much of it sprinting, have no time outs, get cleated probably more than in any other sport, and not infrequently there are significant injuries - including broken bones, torn ACls, and concussions. I understand if people don't like it, but it's a tough sport.
