Actually Islam is a little different than the Golden Calf of the Old Testament. I am not defending Islam here. The Golden Calf was about worshiping idols. The very reason ISIS is destroying statues in Iraq and other religious statues is that they too do not believe in idol worship and any such idol must be destroyed. THis is why the stone Buddhas were destroyed and a whole bunch of other statues and artifacts from ancient history. To a muslim worshiping idols is considered to be one of the highest blasphemes in their culture. I am all for the destruction of Islam but don’t tell lies or make up stuff about what you don’t know or don’t understand.
Now there is a story about how before the time of Islam in Mecca, the Black Stone, the reason why the stone is covered is because there are 360 idols of various gods. Again this was before the time of Islam. Baal is said to be the head idol.
Islam was around a lot longer than the Constitution so it was not formed to circumvent the Constitution. That is ludicrous.
Their prophet states that when he was in the cave an “angel of light” came to him and spoke the words of god. The bible states that the words of god will be directly spoken to you by him. Also the angel of light in the Bible is actually Satan. So yes you are right that it was Satan whom revealed the verses to their prophet given the authority of the Bible.
Islam is molded after both Judaism and Christianity. It contains both religions in its verses, rituals and laws. For example pork is forbidden to be eaten in Judaism and it is also forbidden to be eaten in Islam. A lot of the Old Testament stories are found within the Quran but all the endings have been changed. An example here is that Abraham goes with Isaac to the desert. Or Jesus was never crucified, an imposter was on the cross.
Their prophet was born in 631 AD. The exact time that Christianity was founded is in question. A more exact statement would be that Islam was founded after the death and ressurection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
One could argue all religions imitate the ones that had come before it.
Islam claims that the Quran is the words of their god and the Bible was written by men who were inspired by god. In all circumstances it was men who wrote both.
So please don’t compare Christianity to Islam. That is an insult to Christianity. If you compare the two you have to bring in Judaism into the fold as well as Islam stole more from Judaism than it did from Christianity.
Islam is not a religion but more of a political and theocratical way of life that was governed by the sword and people died by the sword. There is so much that you do not know about Islam that would make your head spin and I could have you laughing for days on some of its tenets alone.
Please do not compare Islam to Christianity. If Islam cannot stand on its own feet, it doesn’t even deserve to be put up against Christianity nor Judaism.

Meant to say Islam was born in 631 AD. Which is less than 680 years after the death and resurection of our Saviour Lord Jesus Christ.
When you are forced to a religion by death this is not a religion it is a military tactic of fear
There is no shortage of Muslims willing to die and sacrifice, for a belief that it is what God wants them to do.
I would say it is a religion, albeit not what we would like it to be, since us Infidels are the ones who will be killed by Islam. -Tom
