I don't care. Although I note that your refusal to entertain the truth about the Gothard cult says quite a bit.
" I have read a lot of this type of material and have never seen anything like what you are describing. Prove it."
What exactly is "this type of material?" Are you talking about counseling material? Christian counseling material? Because the issue is neither of those. We're talking about the Gothard cult and its view of sex abusers (which isn't surprising, since Gothard himself is a serial pervert).
"Where are you getting this stuff from?"
It's readily available when you google "gothard counseling for sexual abusers", or at recoveringgrace.org, which is the forum set up by those who suffered abuse at the hands of this cult.
“Gothard himself is a serial pervert”
I did search as you suggested and found this:
Some of their dissection seems fair enough and some not so fair. The material looks like something that could be helpful or hurtful depending on how it is used and who is being counseled. So thanks for the food for thought. I will consider this side of the issue.
Calling Gothard an abuser seems like a big stretch, though, based on the materials or random, unsubstantiated allegations. Have you ever met him? Or are you basing this on what you read on a website posted by his opponents?
