I was always a strong defender of the Duggars and their wholesome lifestyle! So don’t lump ME in with Duggar haters. I agree that it is unfortunate the victims have to be dragged through this. Have you read the police report? Which was not created until after someone contacted Oprah right before the Duggars were to be aired on her show and the producers contacted the police? Oprah, who has plenty of nutcases on her show. The case could not be prosecuted because the statute of limitstions ran out. Molestation is NOT just a “family matter.” It is a crime and happened multiple times with multiple victims aged 4 to 10. Is there something in your past that makes you want to defend it so vehemently?

Perhaps there is something in the past or present in your own home that you don’t even know about. Maybe you would respond differently if it was your own family.
I’m not “defending” these actions. I’m saying they appear to have been dealt with as they should have been.
Those who advocate prison, sex offender registry for the son, jail for the parents for not reporting the crime, death penalty, being raped in prison, and going to hell, all have a serious problem with the reality of the day we are living in. If we lived in the day when the Puritans burned witches and homosexuality was a capital offense, you might be able to justify the severe legal penalties being advocated (but even then not getting butt raped in prison).
I know first hand that what happened in this family is commonplace across this nation. If you or an immediate family member has not been involved in something similar to this then you are the exception not the rule. And I also think it is likely that it has happened and you are just oblivious to what has happened in your own home. I have talked to so many people over the years I have become friends with and found that when they felt comfortable talking about these things on a personal level, it comes out that someone did something similar to them as a child. And these are mostly people who grew up with no cell phones, no Internet, no constant promotion of sexual deviancy in the media. I am aware of much worse going on across the nation from elementary age and up. There is going to have to be a better solution that trying to throw every offender in jail. And definitely a better solution than the left who seeks to decriminalize this behavior and worse.
The left want to shut down this show and punish this family, not because of the incestuous assault which the left approves of and which I have proved.
