You are leaving out the fact that a charge of 4th degree child abuse was filed...ie: the paper work. The “bad” cop was a “bad cop” but his superiors at the time would have known about the filed charges. There was no cover up. I suspect cops everywhere are flooded with the same issues with boys from 10 to 15 having “done things” that they would never dream of doing as they matured and learned self control. 80 per cent of all males would have to be put in jail or put on registries if the truth were really were out on the matter(and quite a bit of the girls as well) based on what we are calling abuse now a days.
Was the child abuse paperwork filed by the trooper? I don’t believe it was. I believe the only official investigation took place after the Oprah show contacted the police.
Oh here’s another person dismissing child molestation. THE GUY WAS 14 YEARS OLD. IN SOCIETY, 14 YEAR OLD ARE REGULARLY CHARGED AS ADULTS IN MANY CASES. THESE WERE YOUNG GIRLS HE MOLESTED. Some people on this site are deeply misguided because they are blinded by admiration for this famous family that claims to be christian.
