I’ve never had a friend-male or female-who was not motivated to choose a more stylish wardrobe, etc after they lost weight and were down a size or two, and I think it is wonderful. I think you look fabulous in the wedding pics-I haven’t seen any pics of you pre weight loss, but you certainly look great now.
I’m sometimes annoyed with wearing practical, unisex work clothes and boots, but I try to make up for it by buying skinny jeans for work at the online cheap jeans place so I will always look like a woman, and I never go without my make-up, eyeliner, blush, the whole thing-also perfume, and a pretty hair ornament for my ponytail or bun-a little thing, but it is my trick to keep a positive attitude and ego-of course, the guys at work are nice, too-they compliment me, and I do the same for them when they have something new and attractive on...
The young man was an outrageous flirt, but then he implied I reminded him of his mother......so it was funny. Schmoozing the customers is his job, so I took it in the way it was intended. I told him flat out you are one outrageous flirt and you just made my day as I laughed. And thanks for the compliment.
I wouldn’t have thought you for all made up and perfumed.
You’ve got the waistline for it - Try a “feminine” leather belt (pink or light purple, light blue leather, or with trimmed engraving) to lighten-up the working clothes.
Good friend (also a nuke eng) always used a light-colored (she liked bright red) leather belt with her work shoes and work shirts. Made a big contrast with everybody’s black or plain brown.
