It seems as if every stagecoach in old west movies, no matter where the movie was set, was going through Lordsburg. In actual fact its a damn long way from anywhere. A nice town but a long way away.

Maybe a long way away from everything, but it was - and still is - on the main southern snow-free cross continental route.

And we all know all of the cowboys in the movies went to, or through, El Paso...:^)

Went through on my first driving trip west on I-10 late at night years ago. It looked like a huge city coming down from the mountains
