Sometimes the other side does things which are so despicable I wouldn’t want our side to do them.
Like Harry “one eye” Reid going on the Senate floor and telling slanderous lies about Romney.
However, that really was an extreme case. If we get and R in there next year I want him or her to really sic the Justice Department on all those bums in the IRS.
I’ll die happy if I know Lois Lerner went to prison for her many heinous crimes.
So I agree, our side should play ball A LOT harder than they do.
The first mistake the right makes is playing defense. They allow the left to frame the argument, and then spend their time responding. That’s a losing proposition from the word “GO”. The 2nd mistake is that the right uses cold hard facts and statistics, every time. The left, OTOH, uses emotion (”It’s for the children”) and does so in such an effective and efficient manner that, by the time they have framed the debate using emotion, the right is pretty much powerless and all they can do is respond (which usually only makes it worse). These are just 2 instances of the right’s inability to wage any effective political war.
