Could kinda pass for a sister of Erin Moran, from Happy Days.

I think Sirius just came up with "First Wave" as a name for their station. Probably to differentiate itself from the "Lithium" channel which focuses on 1990s grunge, which at the time still fell under the "new wave" umbrella.
New Wave was a late 1970s to mid 1980s kind of thing. I was really into that music at that time but over the years, people tended to name acts like Flock of Seagulls, Culture Club and Duran Duran as epitomizing the genre.
I was more into more obscure New Wave such as Ian Dury & The Blockheads, Joy Division and Gary Numan & The Tubeway Army, which you don't hear too much of these days.

I saw her live last August at an intimate little venue. She’s still got the pipes, actually she sounded better than when I saw her in the ‘80s. Still quite pretty in person.
Neil was as good as ever, too.

“...people tended to name acts like Flock of Seagulls, Culture Club and Duran Duran as epitomizing the genre.”
I think those are good examples.

Yeah, these guys were more genuine, as in pioneers.
I was “there”. I liked Gary Neumann before Cars. I was amazed bands like Gary Neumann or the Clash made it to mainstream Top Forty radio.
Ian Drury don’t fall in the same category. They predated punk and new wave but they weren’t a dinosaur rock band so they are put in it.
Joy Division and Gary Neumann and/or Tubeway Army were early enough to be punk or new wave. There wasn’t much of a distinction then. I remember when Ian Curtis hung himself.
Back when Flock of Seagulls first hit my band had done an hour at a local radio station and who comes in at the end to do an interview for the next hour? Flock of Seagulls promoting their US tour.
They were dressed and coiffed just like their publicity photos. Funny thing was, the one guy with the biggest triangle blond hairdo had a bald spot on top.
You probably like New Order as well, I’d guess.

Mick Jones of The Clash now looks like Humphrey Bogart.

God bless you, Nowhere Man.
Thanks. It was hard on me and I even lost a job because of it. Still, I felt better for it although I would not wish that on anyone. I figured Deborah Harry went through the same thing, it is a tiring process, wears you out. Even when she went into the nursing home, the stress of running around was hard.
Miss Mom a lot though, that was my biggest fear in my life was losing her. I feared that more than nuclear war, ISIS and whatever else is out there. Although this would affect our (Mom and I) life expectancy, I would have chosen nuclear war over losing Mom, that's how much my fear was. Even so, I think I'm doing OK on my own although I do need to eat a lot better.

Just as well, she isn’t into guys, it all was an act. Her and Carmen Electra had/have a thing going on.
