He is a great player on a great team (I’m a Seahawk fan) So why did he feel the need to cheat?

Brady refused to go to the White House last month and bow to Hussein. That is why he is. Sing punished aithout concrete evidence.

The Patriots are in consistent violation of the NFL ‘Parity Policy’ in that they now decline to suck every few years as do most other teams.

This is an offense which must be punished invoking any nonsense whatsoever.

If you are going to suspend him then the coach and owner deserve it also for creating such and environment.

Ray Rice punched his wife in the face, on tape, and was arrested for it. Goodell wanted to suspend him for two games. Tom Brady, at the very worst, schemed with an equipment manager so he could throw slightly underinflated footballs and Goodell thinks Brady should sit for an entire season? I think much of this ‘reporting’ is wishful thinking and an attempt to pressure the NFL to take action when nobody actually close to the real decisionmakers is giving this serious consideration.

Remember, Bob Kraft will be very influential in deciding Goodell’s future as commissioner.

It’s good to see the stinking cheater Shady Brady totally disgraced.

This is sweet justice for the real sports fans. :)

Tom Brady will be the highest profile player ever suspended in the 96-year history of the NFL.

What about Paul Hornung?

The Players union will have something to say about this affair.

A small piece of the story that I heard this morning for the first time was that not all the Patriots’ footballs were under the supposed ‘legal’ limit. A few were over.

Also not all the Seahawks’ footballs were UP to the legal limit. A couple were under.

Buncha b.s. blown up over nothing other than a loathing for the Patriots by teams who have had their buts whipped by the swaggering, in your face, no-apology champions.

Perhaps Brady should get the same penalty as Aaron Rodgers who has admitted to having his game footballs overinflated.

Seems Brady should sue if he is innocent.

We are such a nation of distractions.

If anyone should be suspended it's the incompetent referees

Brady to receive heavier penalty for wanting balls with lower pressure in a couple of football games... then hillary has for exposing (at a minimum) classified information to enemies of the United States.

He’s going to receive a stricter penalty then hillary will for deliverying 400 missiles to the enemy

Certainly the lowly Patriots would have been fortunate to have gone 2-14 if the balls had been blown up a pound or two more!!

What an absolutely ridiculous ‘scandal’ this whole thing is. Brady and the Pats would have been NFL champs using a rugby ball for f@ck’s sake!

The New England Patriots are probably feeling stupid for releasing Tim Tebow. He could have been the starting QB this coming season.

I have no dog in this fight, but cheating is cheating. Whether it be steroids, shaving points, referees being bought, modified bats, or whatever, cheating is cheating. It’s sad but society can try to excuse it away by “everyone does it”, “just getting the edge”, “just a little deviation”, etc.

I can't believe all the replies to this thread about deflated balls.

Who cares? Obviously Brady would have them deflated if he felt he could throw better with some air taken out. So he got caught. Just like the rest of us regular people get caught sometimes breaking the rules, be it taking a right turn on red without fully stopping, or padding a tax deduction for a charitable donation, following a school bus too closely, or going 45mph in a 35mph zone.

None of this is hurting Brady. This is like a speeding ticket to him. So he might get suspended for a few games. Boo hoo. He's a mega-millionaire, he's been in six Super Bowls and he's living pretty much the perfect life. Why just on Saturday, he saw the Kentucky Derby in person and then flew a private jet to Las Vegas to see the boxing match in person.

So who wouldn't want to be Tom Brady?

He bent the rules. He got caught. Big deal. He'll pay his fine, he'll get a few extra weeks off in the fall, and he'll get back to living his perfect life.
