I remember those W.W.II days and I still remember the neighborhood cheering as local radio reported the Allied bombings of enemy cities.

It wasn't just serious stuff.. and attacking the enemy was not considered hate speech --

Washington even let the military claim victory in war to accompany total victory in battles. Something that has not happened since 1945.
