Jamais did very well in the wonderlic test http://espn.go.com/nfl/draft2015/story/_/id/12692780/2015-nfl-draft-jameis-winston-good-wonderlic-company-reported-27 so he will be around for a while. He is nobody’s fool

I don’t like him but I predict he will have a good NFL career of at least 10 years

Lovie Smith said the Bucs got a good person.

I live in the TB area and think this was a terrible pick. Winston will get hurt when he tries to scramble against NFL sized linebackers who also have speed. The Bucs offensive line sucks as does their receiving corps. The only ones who think this is great for the Bucs are FSU alumni.

Lovie Smith and Winston will be gone in just a few years. The ownership of this team is pathetic.

Attention seafood lovers in Tampa Bay...if your local supermarket is out of crab legs... Jameis Winston was shoplifting again...

The Bucs are a team adrift...the Glazers couldn't run s flag football team...

Lovie Smith couldn’t say that the Bucs got the next JaMarcus Russell...

Publix is a Southeastern grocery store chain. There are 3 of these stores not too far from the TB stadium. Lucky for him a Southern team picked him because if a Northern team picked him, they would have needed to fly in his free crab legs.

They should have traded the #1 pick for a few more picks.. their OL is lousy.

Winston is too slow at (4.97 for the 40 yard dash) for the NFL especially if he has to scramble. I predict he will have much more negative yardage for sacks over positive rushing yardage for scrambling. Winston will ride the bench for a few years but he will not be successful.

So you think he is more Kordell Stewart than Anthony Wright?

Maybe he will be like Tommy Maddox, everyone likes him but he ends up in the Arena league

Is it just me, or does anyone else picture him walking away from a urinal after reading that statement?

I remember the 2 coaches before Smith who also kept going on TV and telling us they were getting better as they kept losing.

Probably taken just to put people in the seats.

Exactly so. Just look at what Philadelphia was willing to give up to get Mariota! The Bucs could have done more to help the team by giving up the #1 pick this draft than anyone has done since Tony Dungy. Instead, they do this. Buc ownership is just as stupid as Cleveland’s ownership.

With those numbers, he’s going to have to be a pocket passer. With their OL, he’s going to get hammered. I don’t see how they can keep him on the bench for a year, much less several years, with their current talent, but we’ll know in a few months.

Ownership is the problem, and they always will be. Malcolm Glazer didn't really want to win and it showed. He was more interested in celebrating diversity and pushing affirmative action. His sons were lucky to be born to a guy with money. They don't have the capacity to manage a 7-11, much less a pro football team.

Bucs are the epitome of dumb. Owners, head coach, uniforms, draft picks...what a pathetic lot.
