It was pretty much Laurie Partridge or Marcia Brady.

The three in the front row look as if they could open beer bottles or cans by biting down on them.

I had a crush on Susan Dey, too.
In the early 70’s she was in a movie called “Skyjacked,” later changed to “Sky Terror.”
Susan played a hippie teenager who was, oddly enough, flying First Class on a domestic flight which was hijacked by a deranged soldier just back from Vietnam who wanted to defect to Moscow.
James Brolin played the soldier, Charlton Heston was the pilot of the plane, and Mariette Hartley played a pregnant woman who gave birth on the plane! The baby was played by James Brolin’s real-life infant son.

Or a sudden heart attack.
Judging by her picture she was overweight. Not a good thing for women of menopausal age.
I’m a nurse and have seen this scenario too often.

Shirley Jones may be a political conservative, but her memoir was the filthiest book I've ever read. I'm not kidding when I say that I wouldn't expect a memoir written by Madonna to be as disgusting as Jones’s was. Since she has grandchildren who would either read or hear about the contents of her book, I'd say Jones is a sicko.

Shirley Jones (the mom) is a conservative
Read her autobiography. She is only a conservative by comparison with Hollywood as a whole.

Susan Dey said something which turned me off when I lived in California.
During the 1984 presidential campaign, Susan was on one of the local TV stations in Los Angeles and said, “We should just put Mondale and Ferraro in there now!” or something like that. No election, just install those two in Washington immediately. Yeah, sure.

She was in the original Broadway runs of Rodgers and Hammersteins South Pacific and Me and Juliet and then the lead in the film version of Oklahoma and Carousel. She won an Oscar for playing a prostitute in the film version of Elmer Gantry.
And don't forget her in "The Music Man"!

James Brolin wanting to defect to Moscow. I could see that.

That would be Jones Brewery right off Interstate 70. Stoneys is contracted out to Iron City beer now. The Jones Brewery is now a micro brewery. I sure miss those Esquire nips!

I had a crush on Susan Dey but she was a little too old for me, since I was only 14 at the time. Baloney! Just right. Heck I was hot for Kim Novak, I wouldn't have let a little thing like 20 years stop me had the opportunity presented itself. /grin
Of course they both would have laughed at us. Ah adolescent yearning.

OMG So did I, infact I still have my metal Partridge Family lunch box still with its Thermo inside. I hate to part with it just yet, because it brought alot of happiness to my childhood.

'Nam vets put up with a lot $hit from a lot of different sources. You couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting a negative stero-type.

A Partridge Family lunchbox is cool.
I had some 45 singles by David and Shaun Cassidy.
Jack Cassidy for some reason scared me. He always played the bad guy on “Columbo”

James Brolin wanting to defect to Moscow. I could see that. If I were married to Barbra Streisand, I'd defect to Moscow, too.
