I withheld comment on this previously. For all the good it does it is a waste of energy anyway.
People like this give a deserved bad reputation to organized religion which already has a bad name. People like this are also a testimony to the stupidity of the masses. Creflo Dollar?
We regularly have church on the front porch. I feel much closer to God there in the company of friends than I have ever felt in a church.
Matthew 18:20 “Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. 20”For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.”
We all have to find our own way don’t we? It is such an important and terminal thing I shall not advise anyone or take advise from anyone but will seek my own salvation with fear and trembling.
Dear Sequoya,
You said: We all have to find our own way dont we?
Yes we do. My father was a pastor...not a fake one either. He left the ministry after 15 years for exactly the reasons you mentioned. The “organized church” had become a machine and he saw nothing he could do would change it.
He also stopped going to church and simply read his Bible Sunday mornings (most days actually). He’d say “hey...we are already living in our church because our bodies house the Holy Spirit.” I liked that and still do. :)
