Good man, but not an NFL QB.

What bothers me is that there's this supposed grand conspiracy against Christian athletes. That's not true and it cheapens actual blackballing against Christians.

Russell Wilson, Kirk Cousins, Jon Kitna, and Kurt Warner were/are all outspokenly Christian quarterbacks. It didn't affect their job, or cause locker room issues. You can be an NFL career starter, spot starter, or career backup and clipboard guy, or not make it at all. Great college QB's are often out of the league within 5 years. Joey Harrington and Andre Ware are two of the infamous Lions examples.

“He had an investment in winning, too. “

Uh, history has shown that he made the wrong choice!

‘alone’ LOL. It is a team sport.

You said Tebow took them to the playoffs, as if it was his doing. Perhaps they made it in spite of him? Like the 2006 Bears who were blessed with another Florida QB and got to the Super Bowl despite Grossman's erratic play.

He had a 75% completion rate with no interceptions and a qb rating of 84!

Six of eight for 75 yards. Be still, my beating heart.

They were 1-4 before he took over with no hope. He took them to the playoffs. Get over it.

So you now admit he was given very limited playing time at NY instead of inferring he started 12 games.

I guess getting fired and trading off your prize franchise quarterback has some ‘so’ to it.

But the two quarterbacks he beat out at Denver are?

And yet he and McElroy were both started ahead of Tebow.

Tebow is not an NFL-caliber quarterback. Get over it.

I said he was in 12 games. I never said or implied he started any of them, and in fact I don't think he did.

Denver only took two quarterbacks into the season; Tebow and Orton. And it should be noted that Orton played in the NFL up until last season, and started games in 2012, 2013, and 2014. Tebow, on the other hand, never started another game. And likely never will.

He wasn’t held in check, they were playing to his only strengths. He is simply not a consistent QB.

21 passes for an OT game. Most QBs complete more than that in regulation. But his lack of consistency caused the Denver staff to greatly reduce passing plays.

The fact of the matter is he’s got backup skills and starter fans. He’s spent his entire career 3rd on the depth chart (4th now, and word is the Eagles are trying to trade up to get Marriotta). If it wasn’t for his hoard of adoring fans demanding he be put in constantly he’d actually have probably been in the league the last 2 years, on the bench but in the the league. But that combination of skills and fans makes him an instant QB controversy, and coaches don’t like that. They hate controversy more than they hate sub-500 completions.

I’ve hit you with all the facts a dozen times. you don’t want to listen to those. But the fact remains that he has a terrible completion percentage, terrible QB rating, and he’s never been higher than 3rd on an NFL depth chart. If you want to look at all that and insist he’s a great QB there’s nothing I can do about that. But you’re lying to yourself.

Yes, I also see them get up more often after getting hit in the pocket than outside the pocket. There usually isn’t a free rusher tackling a QB in the pocket. There ARE 300+ pound guys at least slowing down those pass rushers.

That’s four straight posts to me that you’ve concluded with name calling.
