If what follows sounds like a scene from the sci-fi disaster flick Independence Day, imagine what President George W. Bush must have thought on the night of January 8, 2008 as he contemplated his ranch home in Crawford, Texas.
At around 8:00 pm, an enormous, hovering craft with ridiculously bright lights, at least 1,000 feet long (though some witnesses said a mile long), was tracked on multiple radars heading straight for the president's ranch at low speed. The craft lacked a required transponder, was totally unidentified, did not respond to any attempts at communication, and was flying through restricted airspace.
The craft had been observed during the previous hour and a half by a multitude of witnesses, including a constable, a former air traffic controller, the chief of police, and a private pilot. It was apparently doing the impossible. The object was alternately hovering, slowly cruising at low altitude, and suddenly accelerating to over 2,000 miles per hour. No known aircraft of any nation is remotely this size or can perform maneuvers like this.
The private pilot, Steve Allen, told the local paper that "[w]e all flipped out. I didn't sleep a wink last night." Allen had been at the home of Mike Odom in Selden about 6:15 p.m. when they suddenly noticed flashing lights about "3,500 feet above ground level." Mr. Allen estimated the speed of the craft at "about 3,000 miles per hour," heading toward Stephenville.
President Bush must surely have expressed some frustration at the response of the United States Air Force. Later FOIA requests for radar data and flight logs from Carswell Air Station revealed that a squadron of F-16 Fighting Falcons was in the air nearby for 71 minutes during the incident.

Many very credible people have seen things that don’t make sense.
I'll have to write down my UFO story one day. 20-30 minute observation of a classic UFO, then suddenly, an IFO. Been a skeptic ever since.
LOL!!!
The mainstream media ignores them for some reason and nobody official investigates. You used to see wild reports all the time in overseas media but not any more.
But YouTube isn't the MSM. Can you give us a link to some of these new UFO videos?
agree. personal experience.
I think the problem is, once we acknowledge them...then what? THEN WHAT?
Govt has no answer. Churches have no answer. Our brains have no answer.
As long as they are just twerking around above us, just ignore them, deny them, and therefore defer dealing with them. Go back to bed, forget it.
At least in any publicly acknowledged project
The sonic booms alone, would flatten all the cedar trees on the ranch.
You’re probably not far from the truth.
Many things that don’t make sense about very credible people also.
If it was going 2000 mph then it wouldn’t be in the area.
That assumes the purported vehicle displaces air in an ordinary manner. But any technology that can move as quickly as these things supposedly do would have to find some innovative way to eliminate atmospheric drag. Which I can’t imagine how it could be done. Of course imaginary objects can travel at the speed of thought, so that’s a possibility too. :)
There are several uploaded to youtube daily and I don’t have time to look through all of them. Just type “UFO”. Some youtubers pick the “best” and make compilations like “best UFOs of March 2015”, etc. Overseas media used to cover the more extraordinary ones (where entire skies are covered in UFOs) but not any more.
I’m not saying they are extraterrestrials but there are NO DOUBT objects in the sky visible every day we cannot explain. And government completely ignores the issue each time they are presented with huge evidence from multiple people from multiple angles.
I’m a mechanical engineer and private pilot and have seen two(2) personally that did not appear on ATC radar and visually exceeded any known aircraft performance. Supersonic (or even hypersonic) objects lower than 10,000ft that would shatter windows on the ground if it was a known aircraft.
The only way you can really see these “fast ones” is from the cockpit at high altitude and many fellow pilots have. Filming is nearly impossible since they are small, fast and cross the horizon within 1-2 seconds (!). ATC submits these reports to the military when a pilot reports a sighting but of course nothing is heard back. In fact, the only thing they say is “you wont hear back”.
Videos and photos are basically worthless evidence now, since anyone with a computer, digital editing software, and a little know how can fake themselves up a UFO video easily.
Part of the lack of UFO pictures with the smart phones and android tablets is probably two fold:
1. Operator error with those of us, not as smart as our phones/tablets.
2. Different capabilities and limits of the phones/tablets.
#1 is a constant issue.
#2 My tablet takes great outdoor pictures if the outside light is not too dark or too bright. It takes excellent outside photos and terrible indoor pics. It is terrible in low light.
My wife’s android takes great pics inside and not that great
Outside.
However, your question is very valid re lack digital photos of UFOS.
Looks like a head on shot of a plane with landing lights on the wingtips to me.
I was once given a video by my son-in-law of what he thought might be a UFO that was highlighted by his telescope image of the moon. I have to admit that it looked pretty suspicious. So I loaded his video up in my Vegas Pro video editor and slowed the image way, way down. What did I see: fuzzy images of flapping wings. It was enough even for the son-in-law.
Unless it had some kind of warp drive, in which case there would be no sonic boom.
The 1000ft figure is closest to the first Enterprise.
“That’s NCC-1701: no bloody A, B, C, or D...”
lol...
Not for very long, at any rate.
Thanks for that. I had no clue.
