This notion of no competition primaries is ridiculous.
When we hold the Winter Olympics, do we tell world class skiers not to compete if there are others already in the competition?
Do we tell swimmers to drop out of the Summer Olympics if there are already other competitors in the meet?
Why are people afraid of competition?
If our people can’t win a competitive primary how in the world do we expect them to win a general election?
That notion is ridiculous on its face.
And yet we hear it over and over again: So-and-so better not get in the race now that so-and-so is in. Or So-and-so should drop out now that so-and-so is in.
