I have a 2009 Mercedes 300. I have tried the recommended method to reset the "Service 30 days overdue" light without success. I have an engine analyst/code resetter. Where is the socket in the C300 to which to attach it? Thanks.
It’s a Nazi car—get used to it. You WILL follow instructions or suffer the consequences.
Seriously, I have a C300 (2013). it does complain about a lot of things—much more than any care I’ve ever owned. Usually, you can just acknowledge those alert and they will stay off until you start the car again.
google it
Read the manual. If it’s like the BMW’s, the manual will tell you how to deactivate it via a series of button presses.
A piece of black electrical tape over that annoying reminder works great.
I believe it requires a VAG-COM compatible scanner to access CAN-BUS parameters to reset.
disconnect the battery for 15 minutes....if that fails, then over night...
I have used this solution many times. It works on all makes and models.
Get a long flat tip screwdriver. Rest the tip against the offending bulb. Tap screwdriver handle with hammer. Annoying bulb goes out.

My buddy who works at an oil change shop claims the Mercedes needs to be reset 9 times before it will accept the reset.
I’ve tried every suggesting here. None of them work. 8*(
