Actually that’s really true. Last year, this black girl had an obsession touching my 6 year old daughter’s hair.
It kind of became a problem when she had lots of sticky caramel on her hands the day of school photos.
Well, you know, the thing is, when it happened to me, it was a little strange, but I just said “well people have different hair, it’s natural to be curious”. But for the author of that piece on microaggressions, those must have been incidents she harbored resentments about for years to come.
On the upside, if these are the type of things that grievance mongers are complaining about, it shows how far we have come getting rid of the really bad racial incidents in this country. They wouldn’t bother whining about people asking to touch their hair if there were real legitimate civil rights violations for them to be campaigning about.
