Real question: is Wagyu or Kobe beef raised anywhere other than in Japan?
I mean, they’re farming Caspian sturgeon in Israel & no-kill harvesting the caviar, too.
Lots of wagyu and Kobe is raised in Iowa. Don’t know if much makes its way to Japan.
It’s raised here and elsewhere, as well as Japan.
Yes, Wagyu beef can be found in Idaho and Washington state. Agri-Beef has an extensive program and markets their Wagyu as Snake River Beef.
