I live in East Texas and our WalMart closed due to "plumbing" problems. All employees are fired. closed for at least 6 months.
Come to find out, several more closed across America due to "plumbing" problems and all employees fired.
Googled closed Walmart and got several different theories. One says they need to close some to pay for the huge raise they gave the rest of the workers. One says it's for holding illegals crossing the border. Another says it for American that don't want Obama's 3rd term.
Second observation today,.....A military jet fuel truck came into my small East Texas town today and ended up out at the airport. We have no jets,.....yet. The next open Walmart says they have plumbing problems, but as of yet it's still open.If they close it, we have no place to get food for this many people unless the Brookshire Brothers doubles in size.
This just came about today, so that's all I have as thin as it is, but I know the preppers in my church are getting nervous.
Does anybody out there know anything I need to know?
Possibly.
“Obama plans to declare Marshall Law and put us in FEMA camps for his 3rd term. It is rumored the Walmarts will be used to store the people.”
Would I get to select which department in Walmart that I will be stored?
I thinking electronics would best. I would hate to end up in that cheap jewelry section.
This after the ceo of walmart came out against religious freedom that was odd now this!
That or purging illegal employees.
Someone in the comments section on Zerohedge speculated that the “plumbing issues” claim is simply a standard way for a company to get around notification requirements of 2 months before closing.
https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/29/2102
“(A) An employer may order a plant closing or mass layoff before the conclusion of the 60-day period if the closing or mass layoff is caused by business circumstances that were not reasonably foreseeable as of the time that notice would have been required.”
So why they want to close 5 stores in a hurry?
To save on labor costs, or because inventories are low and prices are rising? 5 stores is a very tiny portion of the 4500 they have.
Heard about a prophet saying there will be a war fought in the US...
I agree. I don't think it is FEMA either, I think it is just that they have decided to close some stores, and have tried to pick an inconspicuous way to do it. But it got noticed.
Walmart to the rescue: Private Enterprises Response to Hurricane Katrina
I can't see a chain that can handle Katrina suddenly being out gunned by a plumbing problem. They would not inconvenience their customers, or allow competitors to get an advantage for six whole months if there was just a plumbing problem.
Although it is odd, it is possible that this was a planned attack on Wal-Mart. Hit the stores simultaneously and hit their plumbing, so they are forced to close.
Hopefully somebody will keep us apprised.
Bttt
I don’t know enough about plumbing to question the length of time, if the problem is deep enough.
I also don’t know how quick even a company like Wal-Mart could line up contractors and get all the permits and whatever else they need to do, if they have this problem.
Also, just because they say they will be closed for six months, it may not be. They might be giving an ETA to ensure the problem is definitely taken care of.
You don’t think that a multinational corporation wouldn’t close 6 stores (or whatever it was) if they were hit with corporate terrorism that was deep enough?
They won’t even most of those sales because most of those customers would just go to the nearest one.
None of us know what is going on, so anything said, whether it be union-busting or corporate terrorism or a workaround of labour laws, we don’t know.
We don’t know if it’s a lie. We don’t know anything. I did not agree that it was a plumbing problem. I’m just going to take the corporation’s word until we know for certain.
It is due to isis. Military wants large buildings and lots for supplies and missions.
You must get around to have visited the county or local offices from Florida to California to know they have not applied for permits. Even if that was the truth, the company they hire would have to file the permits and often wally’s contractors are out of state and would need time assembling crews and filing permits. Trust me that I do know for fact.
