Technically..the mayor reported that.
(mayor)Summey said Scott was hit with the officer’s Taser weapon, and they know that, Summey said, because one of the Taser projectiles was still attached.
I’m sure when the coroner report is released to the public it will reflect that scott had at least one taser wound.
Unless of course the mayor is flat out lying...which I highly doubt.
I’m also sure that if in fact Slager had a taser barb in his torso and leg...that he would have never been charged in the first place.
The cop could have just as easily fumbled it and shot them both. I’m not saying he did, but the video isn’t going to give us any clearer answer.
The point of the article is the cop saying “I don’t know why he ran” which then begs the question: Then why did you shoot him?
Make an Abbot and Costello routine. “I don’t know why he ran”. Then why did you shoot him? Because he ran. Why did he run? I don’t know.

A 51 year old overweight black man, shot in the back, A picture perfect poise of the officer while delivering the ‘kill shot’ complete with a momentary pause as he’s steadying and lining up for the kill shot.
This was very unfortunate, not just for those involved but for the country. The media and race industry are publicizing every cop/minority shooting right now. The myths they perpetrated about Trayvon and the Gentle Giant are still out there and this just reinforces them.
Uh..nope...the reports from responding officers state that Slager “deployed his taser”
The only report of “he grabbed my taser” is from Slager after the fact...
And that STILL doesnt explain how the taser got from from the ground behind slager to the ground next to scott.
As we clearly see slager go back and pick it up...then toss it on the ground next to scott...then pick it up again and holster the taser again.
At the 1 minute mark Slagor jogs back to retrieve the taser...at 1.30 he drops it by scott..
At the 2 minute mark you can clearly see him pick up the taser that he tossed down and holster it on his left side.
“Going back to get the taser and dropping by Scott is the damning factor here....he clearly intended to claim “self defense” and moving the taser was central to that claim.”
That’s not necessarily true. It doesn’t seem to me to look like attempting to set up the crime scene in the officers favor. There was a barb in the victim and a barb in the cop (I think), then the whole shebang was attached to the Taser Gun.
It could be the reason why he decided not to chase, he had a taser dart in his leg.
We should check the video and see what leg the officer had the dart in him. Could he have jammed it in himself?
If you scroll down about 1/5th of the page, look at the image at the Treehouse that has the red typing along the right hand side.
There is a still frame of Slager grabbing Scott’s right arm with his left hand, and Slager is reaching for his gun in the holster at his right hand side with his right hand.
Look at the position of Scott’s left arm and hand, even though we can’t see the whole arm, as it is hidden by his body.
It looks to possible that Scott may have had the Taser in his his left hand as Slager was going for his gun. Did Scott toss the taser behind Slager right after that still frame? We see something that looks dark land the ground when looking at the video
Does anyone else see that as possible?
I am basing my opinion soley on the video and the released reports.
Not from anything stated by the press OR speculation from blog.
When you can find a report or official statment that slager ever had a taser barb in him...I will rethink that opinion.. as that truly is a game changer.
I bet a $20 donation to FR that there will be no mention of Slager having a taser barb in him during the court proceedings.
That means one of two things...Slager’s lawyer is incompitent...or it never happend.

That would be pretty relevant...yes?..relevant enough to report it?...hell yes. A pic with his pant leg pulled up is meaningless and proves nothing. If he had a Taser barb in him....why isnt EMS treating the resulting taser barb wound?....not even a bandaid? Please drop this line of BS.....we already have a statement from a public official that Scott had a taser barb in hom when he got to the coroner. The only thing you have is speculation from a blog.
Yeah, it’s hard to tell from the video stills what’s going on with the taser wires and the barbs.
I don’t see how overweight and 51 matter much. A chubby 51 year old can beat the stew out of you. And if he’s got your taser he can tase you, take your gun, then kill you. That’s why Slager decided to shoot him. His mistake wasn’t his initial decision to shoot Scott, it was his failure to change course when the situation changed.

Looking more and more like he fumbled the taser or it was slapped out of his hand while firing and shot both of them. It’s unclear that there was a struggle. The video taper would probably have to offer direct testimony if he witnessed much prior to starting the video recording.
The taser ended up behind the cop and the cartridge still attached to the wire was dragged along.
You don’t pull out a taser in close quarters. It’s not a close quarter weapon. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say there was some distance between the victim and the cop while he deployed the taser.
I damn sure if Slager had a taser barb in him at least one of the respond officer would have reported it.
Some simply like “officer Slager suffered a taser wound to his right leg during the encounter”
Yet no report mentions Slager having a taser barb wound.
There is no mention of it ANYWHERE other than a blog.
And I will say it again....if slager did have a taser barb wounld to his right leg...I dont think he would have been charged....even though he JOGS back , retrieve the taser...then drops it next to Scott.
He doesnt even limp at all.

Well, technically it wasn’t his car. He had no registration, or insurance, but told Slager he was in the process of buying it. What was to stop him from carjacking another car?
Yes, Slager deployed his taser against Scott. I don’t dispute that.
At some point Slager reported that Scott grabbed his taser and what you see in the video is consistent with that. The timeline is that they fought, Slager tased Scott, they fought some more, Scott grabbed the spent taser (which was still capable of administering a shock in its direct attack mode or whatever it’s called), then Scott either fumbled or tossed it and it landed a few feet behind Slager.
As for the taser moving, Slager picked it up and moved it from the area where they were fighting to a spot near Scott’s body as seen in the video. To me there’s not much mystery there.
