HANCOCK COUNTY -- A family gathering to celebrate a child's birthday turned deadly Sunday when a fight between two brothers-in-law led to a fatal stabbing, officials said.
Hancock County Sheriff's Investigator Glenn Grannan said that at 12:30 a.m., deputies found Kenneth Fanning, 29, suffering from multiple stab wounds in the front yard of a rental home on the 5000 block of U.S. 90.
The suspect, Clinten Michael Dryer Sr., 32, injured his knee during the fight, Grannan said. He was treated at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport and was charged shortly before 8:30 p.m. Sunday with murder.

This would be one of the 10% of the time I would lose a bet.
5000 block of Hwy. 90 - that’s gotta be the west Bay St. Louis / Waveland area. Nearer the Bay and across to Pass Christian and beyond, the houses along U.S. 90 aren’t the sort of places where drunken redneck knifeplay is found.
I wonder if the cake knife was used?
