This is the "Live Thread" for the 2015 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. I will try to keep it as up to date as possible but feel free to add anything either on the Playoffs in general or your favorite team in particular. Just remember to keep it civil.
The Wings muscled the Bolts around and outshot them for 2+ periods but the Bolts, as usual, came through in the third. The Zman and Datsyuk’s days are numbered. Outstanding goalkeeping by both teams.
You weren’t paying attention. Datsyuk was actually knocking people down, stealing pucks and setting up shots that unfortunately didn’t score.
Noticed also in the stats(in the 3-2 game 4(?)collapse)...his +/- was -3.
Didn't expect much from the Wings this year, they simply didn't shore up their defense enough during the off-season, think that affected Howard's play more than anything.
Ericsson and Quincey...not a lot of bang for the bucks.
Going to be an interesting off-season with Babcock maybe moving on and Zett's, Datsyuk, Kronwall looking like they might be past their prime.
Wings have had a good run, but they'll need to get their young-guns to step it up to make it beyond the first round in the future, if they make it to the playoffs at all.
I see teams are already on the ice again tonight:
April 30:
Washington at Rangers 7:30 EST
Calgary at Anaheim 10:00 EST
Both on NBC Sports
Tomorrow:
May 1:
Tampa Bay at Montreal 7:00 EST
Minnesota at Chicago 9:30 EST
NBC Sports as well but consult your television listings.
Saturday’s Game, Caps at Rangers, 12:30 EST, on NBC, National TV.

Rangers, Ducks, Lightning, Wild.
Those are the teams I go with in this next round if I were betting.
I have Chicago, Anaheim, Montreal and Washington in my bracket.
With the Blackhawks losing to the Capitals in the Stanley Cup Finals.
Washington Capitals @ New York Rangers - THUR. 7:30 PM (NBCSN)
-------------------------------------------------
Calgary Flames @ Anaheim Ducks - THUR. 10 PM (NBCSN)
--------------------------------------------------
Tampa Bay Lightning @ Montreal Canadians - FRI. 7:00 PM (NBCSN)
---------------------------------------------------
Minnesota Wild @ Chicago Blackhawks - FRI. 9:30 PM (NBCSN)

Some good matchups but the Wild-Hawks series looks like the best one at first glance.
My bracket is Hawks over Ducks, Habs over Rangers, and Habs winning the Cup.
Thanks for the amazing job you are doing - team matchups, dates and times. Now that the Isles are out of contention, I will support the “home” team. As an aside, it is interesting to see that of the 4 remaining matches, 3 contain some of the oldest hockey teams: Rangers, Canadians and Blackhawks - each with a proud heritage.
Go Rangers!
I think the Rangers are going to finish what they started last year. They are looking good. It all comes down to whether they can win 1-0, 2-1 hockey games in the finals.
Yes, they are all Original 6 teams, however, it is "CanadiEns" not Canadians.
I'd like to see Montreal and Calgary both win. We see the Flames already got themselves in a 2-0 hole in the first period, not a good sign.
Make that 3-0 in the 2nd period and it sounds like the announcers think Calgary is going to pull their goalkeeper. Hard game for the Flames here.
I like the Capitals too and have really liked Ovechkin, he deserves an SC. They’ve been close a few times in recent years.
Watch the winning goal here with only 2 seconds left, Washington scored: http://25stanley.com/
Even if Calgary get blown out here which it is looking like;
People should not forget that a number of teams in this post season have suffered bad losses.
Tampa Bay defeated Detroit 5-2
Detroit defeated Tampa Bay 4-0
Calgary defeated Vancouver 7-4
Ottawa defeated the CanadiEns 5-1
You get the idea, I don’t need to go on, so this isn’t the end-all for the Flames.

I’m rooting for the Caps. They have the best coach.
Well, NHLers, Tampa Bay scored what looks to many to be an offside goal to win Friday night but tonight, the Habs got blistered:
Looks like this Prust fellow hurled a bottle during the game, I will have to read up on that.
I thought TB might be a juggernaut, we’ll see about the others,
Go Flames, Go Wild.
A TB-Memphis Stanley Cup Final, wouldn’t that be the NHL’s worst nightmare?
