How much damage will be done to the public’s eyes shooting IR beams into them at every conceivable opportunity? Government will want to track your movements, or at the very least scan for fugitives, and marketing firms always build up their data pools on the public’s habits.

Conclusions:
The protein of eye lens is very sensitive to IR radiation which is hazardous and may lead to cataract.
