PAR35> You are right. Neither the Grand Mufti nor Hitler were at the Wansee Conference according to a list of the participants.

However, the Grand Mufti met Hitler in Germany (i.e. the famous photo of them together) to discuss not only Arab support for the Germans but also to discuss what to do with Jews in the Arab world.

According to articles on the Wansee Conference, either Eichmann or Himmler, the next day, proposed the Conference to address German policies in conquered land, including the Jewish Question (already proposed by the Mufti and leading Nazis as a “final solution” issue).

I have forgotten where the direct reference to the Mufti’s ‘final solution’ proposals were first pronounced, but it was reportedly about the time of the conference’s planning.

Lots on the internet if you google “Wansee Conference and the Grand Mufti”. However, I don’t know if this material has been updated to later document findings.
