The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.
xsbaby and I took the two pups to the Super Pet Expo at the Dulles Expo Center on Sat. It was so much fun. literally dogs of every stripe there. they had booths for various products, services etc. and leashed dogs were welcome. DaVinci has no idea he is a cavalier puppy. He greeted every single dog there, regardless of size, including Malamutes, German Shepherds and pit bulls. I will see if I can post some pix.
i’m preparing for that. will need blazers and sweaters for the summer anyway bc of the a/c in my ofc. gotta wear sleeveless but bring a sweater even if it’s sweltering out. which I expect to happen soon, without much in between, bc that is how DC DO!
No, I’ve already brought them home from Mexico and Canada once. Don’t want to press my luck. ;-)
Obama is impossible to predict. Whatever presaged his current pout will have no known relationship to his next fit. His presidency is one catastrophe tossed upon another with wreckless abandon.
did you have them in with dirty underwear or what???
actually you can predict them, bc he pouts and throws fits whenever he is criticized or opposed in ANY manner! his is the thinnest skin on the planet. A+++
presage, a wiseguy in training.
Driving back from Canada I had them under drinks ‘n’at at the bottom of a cooler.
SIX hours trapped in a theatre. Not sure I could do that.
It’s been cold here too, but we’re used to that and don’t expect anything else. In fact, we’d be alarmed if it were warm.
Regarding ‘snow days’: Virginians are not wimpy. Wisconsin is heavily invested in snow removal equipment and the crews that know how to use it. They fill pot holes in the summer. Besides, roads are a lot slipperier at 30 degrees than they are at 14 degrees and layered with salt.
It’s not that we are better drivers, or braver drivers. You just face greater hazards.
Nonsense. Some people just don’t know how to drive in the snow. When my oldest sister moved to DC after college, someone hit her car the very first time it snowed — less than an inch.
good one! A+++
What fun he must have had.
VA does not lack snow removal or salt dispensing equipment. The state does not OWN this equipment, but they contract with independent guys with snow plows etc and utilize private citizens who want to make extra $, that in combination with the state’s trucks etc mean we are not ill-served in snowy conditions. Virginians are indeed wimpy. Ask anyone who lives here who has lived in a snowbelt elsewhere.
they were both exhausted. I am still trying to figure out how to upload the pix. there was a booth for the pitbull alliance, he saunters between the pit bulls and plops down on their bed! thankfully no one snapped at him or even growled. a lot of them just looked at him like WTF you think you are doing you little punk!
Sometimes it takes a week for the city to plow out my daughter’s street in a suburb of Richmond.
I just snagged some sweaters for $8.80 each from Kohls sale rack. I was quite smug about it.
Very early Thursday morning my mother had a stroke. A brain hemorrhage, not a clot/blockage. She woke up and was having difficulty moving her right side.
She is out of the ICU now, but still has paralysis on her right side and can not swallow, so she has to be fed through a tube. What and how much she will recover is yet to be seen.
Please pray for her.
While daffodils presage spring
Looking outside I don’t see a thing
Just the frozen tundra
Bound to make us wonda’
Why winter to us does cling.
It’s so depressing outside, it’s like living in that taco bell breakfast commercial. I want to make a run for spring.
Wow. It’s really rare to survive that type of stroke. Prayers for her and you.
