The possibility of those firing blanks being mistaken for rogue troops...and being fired on ...in return seems fairly high to me
why would anyone assume firing blanks in populated areas was a good Idea??
And who are they trying to keep down?
Are they doing this to keep down illegals? I think not.
Obama certainly doesn’t seem to want to keep muzzies down. He wants to bring in more of them.
So have absoutely no respect for anyone who makes assumptions about Special Forces without background knowledge.
These exercise are low key and not full of vehicles roaring through with guns blazing. There are occassionally targets that get raided but under strict control so no one gets the wrong idea. In most SF operations if you fire a shot you have most likely failed your mission.
BTW... These exercises have been going on for longer than you have probably been alive. Someone is trying to stir up the s**t with all the publicity. I’ll tell you right no you will not find a more loyal and conservative group of men anywhere. If they were to have to pick “sides” they would be with the people.
I know this because I’ve worked with this esteemed group for for over 30 years.
