I haven’t seen a movie this year. Or last year. I guess I’m funny like that.

Wolf of Wallstreet. Did not expect it to be a porn extravaganza and drug addled orgies. DeCaprio does not need the money so did it for other reasons which I can only guess at. I hate being deceived even tho the video was free at the library. Wasted an evening expecting it to get better and ticked that an expected pleasant time was spoiled. Trash.

Doesn’t count. It is supposed to be bad, really bad.

Not everyone lives in NY, so how would I know? If what you’re saying is true, then the audience for this movie would be limited indeed. So why bother making such a film with such a narrow appeal?

“In order to appreciate the movie, think in the mindset of a person living in New York City and suddenly, the movie makes a LOT more sense.”
Being a Bostonian, that’s a little difficult for me to do. The movie was good up to a point, then it turned a corner into WTF! People who are into theater I’m sure enjoyed it. Just wasn’t my thing.

Not this year, but the worst movie EVER filmed was, “Who is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe?”

Imagine that - a movie called Battle of the Armies having a battle in it. Remember Tolkien rewrote The Hobbit.

Do you mean Jack Reacher with the vertically challenged Tom Cruise playing the 6’ 3” Reacher? It was a no-go for me from the start.

I think the latest Hunger Games movie. I liked the first two, but they jumped the shark with this one.

I liked “Wolf of Wall Street”, but I watched on a plane and it was a hour shorter than the theatrical release.
All the explicit but superfluous drug use and sex was cut...and the movie was better for it.

No Jack Ryan with Chris Pine.

A shame as the book was wonderful. Casting Tom hanks was a bad idea. The selection of the other actors was good.

Surprisingly, “Lincoln”.
First movie I’ve walked out of in decades.
All the blacks talked like Columbia Law School Grads.
The whites, all like toothless morons.
The movie had only one purpose.
To equate Obama to Lincoln in the history books.

One of the worst was The Great Gatsby. The story is set in 1922, yet the characters drive around in cars from around 1929-1930 and dance to modern-day disco music. Although the film did feature a couple of tunes from the 1920's, they were from the latter part of the decade. Also an exotic South Asian actor portraying a Jewish gangster was laughably off the mark.
