WASHINGTON When White House chief pastry chef Bill Yosses left the executive mansion last summer, the president publicly mourned the loss of the crust masters mysteriously addictive pies. And when the first familys personal chef and pal, Sam Kass, left in December, Michelle Obama heaped praise on Kass extraordinary legacy of progress in an official White House statement.
But the recent exit of head florist Laura Dowling, whod been in the job since 2009, has been a much quieter affair. So hush-hush, in fact, that most outside of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. knew nothing about it. Theres still no official comment on why Dowling is no longer at the White House, but according to a source with close ties to current residence staffers, she was escorted from the building on Feb. 13.
The East Wing initially confirmed via a very brief email that Laura left her position earlier this year but provided no further details. Later, the first ladys office (not quoting the first lady specifically, mind you) sent this enhanced statement:
As Chief Florist, Laura Dowling and her team treated guests of the White House to their beautiful floral arrangements. Ms. Dowlings creations were always lively and colorful, reflecting not only the season but the unique and historic rooms which they graced. No two arrangements were ever the same and each one left guests with a lasting impression of the elegance and history of the Peoples House. We are grateful for her contribution over the years and wish her well

Absolutely hideous. There isn’t any reasonable blend of textures, colors, or styles. If Mooch is responsible for this, it defines who she is, there isnt an ounce of sophistication or class in this room.
That is one ugly room. Modern does not fit with the WH.
The Wookie is on a rant.
Agreed. That looks like a mish mass mess!
Kind of a crappy article. It does nothing to fill in the blanks.
Well, zero constantly has his ugly feet on the WH Resolute desk, ditched Churchill’s bust and the Remington bronze, I’ll just be happy if the WH is re-configurable after they are run out of town on a Soros jet.
Moochelle seems like she would be impossible to please. She can’t even adjust her schedule to go to California or Maahtha’s Vinyard on the same plane with her fetid husband. Then there’s the Moocher-in-law who is rumored to abuse staff.
She knows that...doesn’t care...as is their custom they will make it fit no matter the outcome or how it looks.
She grabs me like this, and started beating the hell out of me!
Well look what she wears....it took years for her to bend to stylish fashions suitable for a first lady...she just doesn’t get it...she’s not in the hood anymore....but she wants to be.
In looking at the photo again, the room is extremely traditional in every sense. Then two crazy pieces of art are added to dominate the room, which IMO represents an extremely chaotic personality attempting to defy the solace of the traditional style. The bullseye painting at the end of the room is screaming rage.
I noticed that too. It looks like a deliberate FU. That whole WH looks crappy, like a cheesy whorehouse. All that ugly gold and scroll stuff. Ugh!
LOLOLOL.....
That woman has incredibly long arms.
It's all a deliberate FU.
Putting her arm around the queen was a deliberate FU. Wearing stiletto silver shoes to tower over the diminutive emperor of Japan is a deliberate FU.
Yes, I believe so too.
Here she is speaking about nutrition with fist clenched. gnashed
Always fist pumping in one way or another..her anger is always just beneath the surface
On foreign visits she fails to let the hosts host and so ends up confused and unable to know where she belongs
They could’ve used the 2nd pic, painted the walls and switched out the drapes and it would’ve looked great. Not the horrible miss mash mess Moochelle created. I guess we should be thankful she kept the furniture.
