Michael Sam, the first openly-gay player drafted into the NFL, isn't getting positive reviews.
The 25-year-old, who was taken in the seventh round last year by the St. Louis Rams, appeared at the NFL veteran’s combine earlier this week in a bid to impress a host of scouts.
But according to one league agent, who spoke to TMZ Sports anonymously, Sam didn’t do much to improve his stock.
"My real honest opinion is that he was flat out horrible,” the agent told TMZ. “He did not belong out there."
It’s the kind of feedback Sam received from both the Rams and Dallas Cowboys, a pair of clubs that cut the University of Missouri product from their practice squads last summer.
"He thinks he's a superstar. It would be nice if he could do something on the field to back up the attitude,” the agent added.
Word arrived Sunday that Sam was at least considering a stint in the Canadian Football League if it doesn’t work out in the NFL.
"He sells tickets,” the agent said. “He attracts fans. And from there you never know."
If you can play, you can play.
According to some, though. Sam can’t at the NFL level.

The brief bit of Limbaugh I heard today said that Sam is slow compared to all the other linebackers. Can't do a sub 5 second 40 yard sprint.
So, IOW, his only "talent" is being an in your face gay football player with less than average ability at the professional level.
He believed all the media hype...especially at ESPN.

Hmmm - Narcissistic, black, homosexual with little real talent. Is this about Michael Sam or Barry Sotero? Maybe he could be on Obama’s “personal” detail. Reggie Love would share and Barry doesn’t require a fast 40, just worship and admiration.
There are a lot of knothead libs in the media who think when a major sports league finally has an outed homo for a star, he’ll be treated like all other hetero stars. I have my doubts.
He sucks. Send him to Canada.
Are there any teams that have fans demanding their club give Sam a tryout? I sure haven’t heard of any.

If I head for the basement when that show comes on, my wife starts whining about not spending time with her. So I have to suffer and keep my mouth shut. And often times it's very difficult not to squawk about some of the contestants.

He was formorely a tight end. Not so tight anymore.
