Earth hour is an open invitation to unseen violence and security breaches. So make sure your house is brightly illuminated and that your sound system is turned up to 11 the evening of Saturday March 28th.

To celebrate I usually roast some polar bears over a large tire fire burning in the front yard.

Shoot, I’ll do you one better. This Sat I will be putting my Brother-in-laws things into storage (he passed recently). So in addition to my house being lit up, so will his and we will be using a huge black smokey diesel cargo box truck to move the stuff.

Manatee kabobs are also enjoyable with panther pate. Hmmm. Let’s see. For erf hour, in our quest to prevent (?) another ice age, I shall endeavor to use as much fossil (?) fuel as I can for the entire day. This should aid in offsetting AGC (as opposed to AGW) and help place extra See Uh O Two in the atmosphere so my plants can thrive. The rest of you, my amp actually goes to 12! :>}

Celebrate Human Achievement Hour 2015! Saturday, March 28, 2015, between 8:30 – 9:30 p.m. in your respective time zone.

Please join the Competitive Enterprise Institute in our annual celebration of human progress and our advancements in various fields of industry, including technology, medical, energy, and more, during “Human Achievement Hour” on Saturday, March 28, 2015, between 8:30 – 9:30 p.m. in your respective time zone.

Observing Human Achievement Hour is about paying tribute to the human innovations that have allowed people around the globe to live better, fuller lives, while also defending the basic human right to use energy to improve the quality of life of all people.
•Human Achievement Hour is the counter argument to Earth Hour, which is an event where participants symbolically renounce the environmental impacts of modern technology by turning off their lights for an hour. (Earth Hour is organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature.)
•Symbolically or not, Earth Hour does little to protect the environment and is a misguided effort that completely ignores how modern technology allows societies around the world to develop new and more sustainable practices that help humans be more eco-friendly and better conserve our natural resources.
•Instead of looking to the “dark ages,” as Earth Hour might suggest, Human Achievement Hour promotes the idea that we should be looking to technology and innovation to help solve environmental problems.
•There are not many case studies indicating a large amount of guilt has solved any key world problem, but a free market that encourages the human innovation that gives us the methods to create cheaper, cleaner energy, just might.

How to celebrate?
•While Earth Hour supporters may suggest rolling brown-outs in India is desirable, we respectfully disagree, and view reliable electricity as one human achievement people can celebrate by keeping their lights on for one hour.
•You can also celebrate by chatting with friends or family on your telephone or computer, watching the news on TV, listening to music, or even taking a shower thanks to indoor plumbing.
•Share how you are celebrating by tweeting about the human achievement that makes your life easier @ceidotorg and use #HAH2015.
•Join the discussion on our Facebook event.

Last fall we went to Kenya to see several national parks.One night we stayed at a nice guest lodge near Amboselli.The electricity only worked between 5PM and 8PM as well as between 6AM and 9AM.Hot water was also on for only a couple of hours in the morning and evening.

All this for the planet,no doubt.
