On my last trip to the 4-Corners area I noticed many of my favorite roads had been closed. I used to get a San Juan County map at the local library and go into some very remote areas alone where the roads had not been maintained for decades. If I had broke down, I might still be there today bleaching in the sun.
“They” say that they close the roads because of the expense of maintaining them.
