I’m getting ready to build mine an aviary; I’ve been told they aren’t destructive of plantings as most birds are so I’ve got bottlebrush bushes to put in it, since they love the nectar and like to use the leaves to groom themselves like some kind of avian wash rag. I guess I’ll soon find out if the bushes will get shredded up or not.
hmm, don’t know. I have plants on the balcony, never saw them destroying it. I live in a city area. But we also get wild cockatoos; they are notorious for destroying (some) plants and wood.
