I have read that they loved the .22 Beretta model 70 and there is a lot to love about it. I used to have two of them and they are totally reliable and really accurate.

Not sure which model that is but it does not look like the model 70.

The reason maybe it was their favorite is, it didn’t make much noise with silencer, oh how did they fit 11 bullets within being 11 dead athletes? 10 in the magazine plus one already in the chamber?

No polymer Berettas at that time. Different materials, but a 22, with special rounds. Not sure about semi-auto either, as these leave casings.

Weapon of choice— low powder low velocity 22 in a revolver— up close and personal back of the head. The round rolls around inside and doesn’t exit. Also, low noise— pop pop.
