There is actually a web site that is a form of “Cliff Notes” to the comics. Every once in a while I read ahead. No, the series does not follow the comics exactly. But their similarity is like following a river, in that they are going in the general direction. Last night a couple of scenes, Abraham at the construction scene, and Carol at the end, were pretty much right on.
But characters are different and the relationships are different. I think reading ahead wrecks it a little bit. But there is enough difference that there are still surprises.
Thank-you for the infor. It is a temptation.
I have a dilemma with Game of Thrones, which is the only other episodic TV I watch. I came in after the first three episodes with both. I bought the Game of Thrones books and have surpassed the show, but I have stopped into the fourth book because I really want to be surprised and shocked.
Last night’s episode was gorier than usual. I think even though they brought onto the show Talking Dead the prostatic of the poor character being beaten alive, it was too graphic for me to watch completely.
I wonder if that is a production choice to amp up death scenes or it becomes even more gruesome according to the comics?
I have to spend an hour and half having my car detailed. I am so close to reading the cliff notes. I can’t stand the suspense any longer;)
