Since I primarily use mine as a range gun, I usually run 70s era Russian mil-surp ammo through it, as it's the cheapest round I know of. And, as others have said, always clean it quickly and thoroughly afterwards.

Ammo To Go and Cheaper than Dirt probably have stock at reasonable prices. Check at gun shows also, as I have gotten lucky once or twice and found some at a very good price there.
