If some “Son of Obama” had kicked in the door and attacked the owner, with the same results, we’d all be singing the dog’s praises.
I am in favor of exterminating every purebred or mixed-breed pit bull that exists. Bar none.

Pit bulls are a good reason to carry a .45
.230grn, JHP hollow point is pretty much going to end agressive dog action
You don’t do CPR unless the patient is in no pain - i.e. unresponsive, pulseless, dead as far as you can tell.
Of course the dog can’t figure that out. Sad story.
Am I the only one who had to read the title 3 times to figure out what happened?
This dog just killed a man. Because the man was trying to help the dog's owner.
I have guns in my house - sometimes in my pocket. If a 'son of obama' (or anyone) broke into my home I wouldn't be afraid to use my gun. But there is no way that I would own a gun that would go off at seemingly random times, in seemingly random directions, for whatever reason, and might kill me or mine. I don't think a sane person would own such a gun. But put fur on it and give it four legs, and some people would own that gun. I am not going to limit your 'right' to own such a weapon, although I don't understand why anyone would want to...I know a man who's grandson was killed by such a weapon...tragedy...senseless...and completely preventable...But that is what this guy has...had...and it went off and killed a good samaritan.
I follow... but still. dog shoulda been on a chain.
True, but before CPR, it's not necessarily a calm drop to the floor. I've seen anxiety, followed by pain in the chest and radiating to other parts of the body - a dog would likely get agitated over watching it happen (I was upset watching it!). Then the victim falls to the floor and you do CPR, which probably looks wrong to a dog.
Or carry and shoot the dog then CPR...or just move on down the road and let the dog to CPR...

Anyone acting on that, be advised: ammo is so dear you won’t hear a warning shot.
Just because someone “brands” an animal as vicious doesn’t mean it is. How many pitbulls have you owned?
Bring it on. I reload.
A certain segment of the population of which many are already persons prohibited own these animals because they can't be trusted with a gun.
The others are gun-haters that think it nothing to own such a nice doggie "for their own protection." What I say is that we at least denominate any pit bull as a deadly weapon and require a license with training in handling to keep or be accompanied by one (always leashed).
