There was also a woman involved who jumped out the second story window onto the porch roof to escape the dog.

Who would have thought that CPR is a life risking move, because it makes your neck accessible to attack dogs?

I saw this yesterday.
What took so long getting it posted here? hee hee
As a matter of interest, my daughter’s Ridgeback is the most laid back sweetie one will ever find in a dog. You should the fur go up on his back when it looks like someone is threatening her.

Dangerous Dogs should be holstered/muzzled.
I don’t give a damn how sweet they are to some people. Ted Bundy was sweet too, until he got mean.

The dog was trying to protect her master. She had every reason to believe her protection was needed. The dog did no wrong.

So did the heart attack victim live?

I see absolutely no value in registering Pit Bulls. It’s just like registering guns - you don’t need the registry to know there was a problem after the fact. Also, and unusually for the Pit Bull, I don’t blame the dog for this. Heart attacks are painful and can look painful, and and CPR looks like a physical attack. This is just an unfortunate event.

Anyone think a sweet, loyal little poodle or beagle could have done that? Defend his master, attack,maybe-but maul someone to death? People CHOOSE pitbulls because they WANT a mean, badass, dangerous dog-and that’s usually what they get. Countless other breeds are available if you want to love a dog-why choose a breed that is branded deadly?

Yep, it looked like his/her owner was being attacked, so the dog intervened. Doesn’t seem too hard to understand, but I guess it is.

Officers also found the dogs owner, David Wallace, 63, dead in the house. Good. Real good. Now, shoot the dog.

You have to convince the dog that you are not assaulting the dog’s owner before you start pushing on his chest.
