Note all you want. The victors of a war make the rules. If we had lost WWII, there is no doubt the firebombing of Dresden and Tokyo (little to no military value) would have resulted in war crime trials.
Hey - ISIS is at war with America. Does that make it OK for them to bomb a mall? A school? According to you - that is FINE.
No, for the situation to be comparable, we would need to be shooting at them from a mall or school, giving them cause to shoot back, and then it would not be a crime. Just as it isnt a crime for Israel to bomb a hospital in Palestine if Hamas is firing rockets from it.
Now you are contradicting yourself. Dresden and Tokyo had little military value. The allies firebombed them anyways causing 100,000s of deaths. You can't have it both ways.
“Now you are contradicting yourself. Dresden and Tokyo...”
No, you are mixing your metaphors. I was replying to your comparison about shooting at a mall or school, not the bombing of Dresden or Tokyo. You didn’t even mention those until the post after the one you are quoting me on. Try to keep it straight.
