Good catch. I missed that about the “I usually drive back” part. All it takes is recruiting the wrong group for a disaster to occur. Ironic ....if the wrong group proves to be Rick’s. Lots of questions to be answered. I love this part of the season when everything is up in the air and anything is possible.
He did explicitly tell her the problems now would be with the living out there, not the dead.
Jesse=Lori with blonde hair
Rick going Shane-please don’t go full Shane! Get your head out of your ass and go for Michonne!
HOLY COW, does she clean up well (ala last week's TD appearance)!
Hubba Hubba!
I could be wrong, but it seems to me that the Alexandria community has led a pretty sheltered existence so far - “lucky”, as Rick described them.
They (not Rick’s group) were lucky they were able to find this community with its own sources of power and water. They were lucky that they haven’t been exposed to the flu-like virus that decimated Rick’s group. They don’t appear to have been discovered by any other really bad groups of people like The Governor or Terminus. I’m kind of curious if they have ever encountered a really big herd of walkers.
The fact that they keep all of the weapons in a centralized location seems to indicate that their community hasn’t really had to deal with any serious threats so far. If they had, you would think that they would have the weapons and ammo. at least a little bit distributed to make it easier and faster to respond. JMO.

Yea. How about that. Nobody, or no one group, could be that lucky. Or stupid.
That seems to be Rick’s whole point. They are well defended from the zombies, but they are sitting ducks for an organized, living, aggressor.
I disagree with everyone who insists Deanna HAS to be a lib/democrat. She’s simply a member of civilized society who has been extraordinarily successful at preserving quite a bit of that society’s mindset, and has grand plans for reconstituting it.
I haven’t seen anything so far that would identify Deanna’s political leanings in any way.
I was wondering about drugging the group... The episode was all about drinks and food.
marked
Yes, it is possible.
They must have big stash of booze because it flows freely. LOL
My guess is that they won’t identify her political party. Love her or hate her (we’ll see what they end up doing with her character), it’s easier to imagine her as your own party (if you like her) or as the other party (if you hate her). So, I think they’ll keep her political party ambiguous.
Well they are a suburb of D.C.!
I think if there's anything dastardly going on with Alexandria, we're going to find out it has more to do with all these zombies with a friggin "W" carved into their foreheads, not some secret plan to prevent our heros from finding out "soylent green is people" ;)
That would be my guess, particularly if she turns out to be a bad actor.
I agree.
There are so many twists and turns. We’re all likely to be surprised.
The comic book character she is based off of was explicitly a Democrat.
That’s why Daryl hasn’t showered yet!

She’s a progressive, control freak type lib. who wants to maintain total control of her little utopia. It’s easy to see.
On another blog it states under “trivia” that she is fashioning herself after Hillary Clinton.
Thats why Daryl hasnt showered yet!
I’d shower and kick their butts if they tried anything. LOL
I’m thinking there was another enclave in the area that started with a “W.”
They were probably in contact with Alexandria at some point, then went dark.
Deanna wants to recruit newbs from “out there” in hopes of preventing the same fate from falling on Alexandria.
