It’s not about offending me.
It’s about how you (and me) are compromised by this world.
I have the same issues.
It hurts us to be immersed in our reprobate society and is not always easy to avoid being tainted by it ourselves.
To my mind if we use coarse and vulgar imagery or language it defeats our own purpose and adds to the problem we want to address.
It’s not as visceral to say, “the sycophantic press corps” but do we really want to use that sort of emotionality to make our points?

I agree. But you have to admit, “sycophantic press corps” is a gross understatement.
