Indeed.
I much prefer Frazetta’s sense of potential.
Even in a “posed” painting, there are things in the background that convey the feeling that something unseen is imminent.
It gave his paintings the quality of freezing a moment in time, by no means limited to what we were seeing right *then*.
I really like that.
His are more gritty and underworked, compared to Vallejo’s fussiness.
