I prefer Kaffeine, actually, but vlc seems to play some formats better for some reason.
Anyone know how to get the IOS version without going through the US App Store?
wmv works pretty well for me and is recognized by my TV via it’s USB port.
I understand that it is supposed to be getting Chromecast support, that would be huge.
Love VLC!(But one reason for that is it doesn’t need constant updating!)
Checked and the update is not out yet.
I have VLC and its great..have had it for years, I checked just now to see if there are any updates available and it says Im on the latest version yet I havent updated it in months
Thanks for the nod ... Not into all the bells & whistles, but an ubiquitous program to have.
I love VLC for what it is but also for how it has shamed so many other bloatware media players, most of which seem more concerned with congratulating the programmers and publishers than in playing media files.
I wonder if it will run on my Raspian Linux on my Raspberry Pi II.
VLC Blu-ray support is poor and rarely works for me. Someone over there needs to sort this out. In the meantime, avoid CyberLink like the plague...those guys are rip-off robber barons, and their software stinks of surveillance.
