BTTT! Can I move to Gilliam’s Gulch?
First get on our knees and apologize for our pervasive immorality, our apostasy and our contracepting and aborting. Then promise to do so no more.
Not Biblically accurate, but still a good speech:
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brothers keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know My name is the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon thee.
If Moses had said that, Israel would still be in Egypt.
Let's not forget that He has already spoken on the matter and we will not prevail in our endeavors to wipe out the sinners we deem to be worse sinners than ourselves.
The world will continue to sink into a cesspool and there is nothing we can do to stop it. To think otherwise is to laugh in God's face.
We can strive to get less evil folks in charge of us for some period of time, but we cannot really stop the decline into the morass. All we can do is tend to our own souls and carry the Good News to others who are willing to hear it.
I will spend money and support the most conservative folks I can in the primaries, then vote for the lesser evils as my only real chance to oppose pure evil. I will also lean on Him that I not go nuts, but maintain the ability to carry His Word as I watch what the Evil One wreaks across the planet.
” not to enemies bent on your destruction...”
___________
I believe the Lord also discussed our behaviour in regards to “enemies”, and it was far from the behaviour that you are implying.
We don't have to fill our hearts with hate to kill them.
But, does killing them fill your heart with joy?
Of course not.
Imagine you see a man beating his wife and you stop him. Is your heart filled with joy or sorrow?
And that’s just it - it really only refers to insults, etc. This same Jesus also admonished His disciples to sell their cloaks and buy swords to protect themselves.

>> “If Moses had said that, Israel would still be in Egypt” <<
.
Wrong!
Moses had specific instruction; you are inferring instructions that Yehova would never give.
.
Are you suggesting that we should do nothing until either God gives us specific oral instructions (like with Moses) or takes action himself?
.
Yehova has already told us what he is going to do, and how to watch for when he is going to do it.
He hasn’t asked for our help either.
Yeshua and his mighty angels will be the whole army. Jerusalem will be the place
.
He operates through us humans too.
You can pull up a chair and wait for Him to do all the work...or you can pick up a gun and ask Him in prayer how to take it into battle.
As a man of prayer, I will act as He tells me.
And yes...I will defend my country and my countrymen and fellow Christians.
You make me ashamed of those in my country who refuse to defend the weak.
You owe the preservation of your freedom to those of us that understand biblical context.
“You owe the preservation of your freedom to those of us that understand biblical context.”
____________
I owe everything to God, and any other suggestion is blasphemy.
No, you owe your RIGHTS to God, not your freedoms — they can be taken away by tyrants.
In your case, that’s an easy task.
The ISIS flag is mostly black, yours is all white.
Those without faith are often sad, narcissistic, egomaniacs who inflate their importance.
