Sadly, there are parents nowadays who won't respond to anything less than the threat of 'extreme measures' when confronted. They don't give a rip if their kid is bullying someone else...in fact, some encourage it.
My oldest kid gets bullied sometimes. I'm not sure how I'd react if I actually saw it occurring.
Too many adults think it’s just innocent childhood fun, and victims “ask for it” by being different.
I secretly like the gun and knife solution, myself, although I wouldn’t go on record as officially recommending it.
Some ghetto women decide they need to make their kids into violent thugs, so they have some protection in their old age against all the OTHER violent thugs in the neighborhood.
When I was a kid, I figured out how to handle a bully. Warnings didn’t work, but eventually one day he did the usual jump off the locker room stairs to punch me in the arm thing, I stepped to the side and grabbed his arm and guided him into the lockers and then onto the concrete floor, where I pummeled him repeatedly.
Curiously, after that, I had no problem with that bully, nor anyone else at that school, ever. Had I lost that fight, I would have won the 2nd one, by bringing in something like a small section of rebar or a little baggie of sand, maybe a piece of glass with some of it wrapped in tape.
In the old days the parent of the bully would get a talking to. I think that’s what was happening here. “Either straighten out your kid or I’ll straighten out yo’ ass.”
